We believe that the most important dimension is not "Left" versus "Right".
We believe that the most important dimension is not "Democrat" versus "Republican".
We believe that the most important dimension is "more government and less liberty" versus "less government and more liberty".
We believe that you should keep your money and your power, rather than give it to the government.

The Cutting Back City Hall Party is based on the ideas in the book “Cutting Back City Hall” by Robert W. Poole Jr., published in 1980.

Amazon says the book “describes methods, including private contracting, user charges, and more effective planning, that local governments can use to reduce the costs of most types of public services”.
If City Hall spends less, then it can tax you less.
The Party is also based on the ideas in Milton Friedman's series of lectures which led to the television series "Free to Choose".

The Cutting Back City Hall Party will run a slate of candidates for Mayor and for City Council in the November 2027 elections.
We will then seek to implement as many of Poole's and Friedman's ideas as possible.
